Mission Reflections
“This meeting was terrific! I finally understood what my doctor has been telling me.”
“We understand each other like no one free of this disease can.”
“I think I may have helped someone today…. So ‘thank you’ for sending (a member) to me. I don’t feel so helpless anymore….”
“My family and I take part in the “Walk Over Water” every year! We love it! The music, the booths, the people – we just have a great time together for a great cause. We like that all the money goes to the Parkinson’s Foundation for research. That’s a good feeling.”
“Parkinson’s can also bring you a gift. The members of the Mid-Hudson Parkinson’s Support Group are excellent examples of “fighting the fight…together”. Thank you for this gift.” – Person with Parkinson’s for 21 years
“I am always looking for a way to help others with Parkinson’s and (helping in) your class (physical therapy doctoral students) offered a window to the future. They were great and made me feel welcome and useful. Those are rare emotions for those of us with PD. Their knowledge offers hope for Parkinson’s patients.” – Person with Parkinson’s for almost 30 years
